Frequently Asked Questions: Used truck import and administration
Can you bring in trucks from anywhere abroad?
Yes, we handle the import of used and new trucks from any country in Europe, but we most often source vehicles from Germany, the Benelux countries, Switzerland and Poland.
Are all advertised vehicles available at our Budapest yard?
No. Most of the ads are trucks arriving to order, but vehicles marked with the LT and BIZ codes can be viewed at our yard. Ask us whether a particular vehicle can be viewed in person!
Can I buy as a private individual?
Yes, you can also buy a vehicle from us as a private individual, in accordance with the applicable tax regulations.
Can I buy with an EU VAT number?
Yes. For orders from abroad, with a valid EU VAT number you can also buy the vehicle from our foreign partners at 0% VAT – we help you with the paperwork.
How long does it take to import a truck from abroad?
The vehicle usually arrives in Budapest within 1 week. Including Hungarian registration, we hand it over within 1 month. For our foreign customers, we deliver within 1 week to your door, to a port or to an address of your choice.
How long does it take to get temporary plates?
For our foreign customers, temporary plates are ready within one working day. If you order in the morning, it can usually be collected the same day.
Can I pay by bank card?
Card payment is currently not available. Payment is only possible by bank transfer or in cash up to HUF 1,500,000.
What documents are needed for the purchase?
We take over the entire administration, depending on what you need: registration in Hungary, temporary plates, export by sea or by land, customs clearance and even delivery to your door.
All you have to do is sign the order contract and pay the deposit, the details of which we agree in advance.

Can only advertised vehicles be purchased?
We source any truck, no matter whether you found the ad or we did. We have particularly extensive experience in importing crane trucks, tipper trucks, aerial platform trucks and other vehicles with special bodies.

Is there a warranty on the trucks you sell?
Liability does not cover the normal wear of wear-and-tear parts. For all other parts of the vehicle – including the engine and the gearbox – the buyer is entitled to the statutory warranty and guarantee rights under the applicable law.
Do you also import aerial platform trucks from abroad?
Yes. We regularly import aerial platform trucks from any country in Europe.
How does Laslo Truck check the condition of the vehicles?
We check the engine, gearbox and body with an on-site test and document everything with photos and videos. We never leave a buyer on their own, and there is no such thing as a vehicle we fail to register in Hungary. We keep searching and working until we find the vehicle that meets all technical and administrative requirements.
